Anti-Virus Company: Android Malware Infected 600,000 Units


In one day more than 600 000 Android devices infected with a "virus" called "Ghost Push ', so claims the Chinese anti-virus company Cheetah Mobile. The malware is hidden in dozens of seemingly legitimate applications that are offered outside of Google Play.

Once the malware is actively trying the device to 'rooting', thus giving it full control. Also, there are apps such as 'Monkey Test' and 'Time service' downloaded. According Cheetah Mobile malware is extremely difficult to remove, even if a reset of the device is performed. A total of 39 very different apps out where the malware was found in. The Chinese anti-virus company has a removal tool developed to affected users to delete Ghost Push.
